Andrew Cottage joined us in May 2021 to lead our landscape team. He is a Chartered Landscape Architect with a wealth of experience spanning some 27 years. He spent his early years working for a mixed practice in London working on high profile, gateway sites such as St George’s Wharf. He also worked on the early phases of the regeneration of the Woolwich Arsenal creating a riverside park which would act as a catalyst for the subsequent redevelopment of this historic site. More recently he has worked on creating a new visitor destination within a historic landscape in Lincolnshire and a new phase of an innovation park in Lincoln. He has also worked for the Landscape Institute where he helped manage an international design competition.

He is currently working on developments for senior living in Luton and Chandlers Ford where integrating the development sensitively into the existing landscape and creating an environment which creates opportunities for participation, events, socialising and exercise mean that the landscape is a key driver in developing the proposals. He is passionate about the value that high quality landscape schemes can add to development and the importance of greenspace to health and well-being.

In his spare time Andy enjoys cycling, birdwatching and visiting gardens. He recently marked his 50th birthday by cycling up the famous Alpe D’Huez and Col Du Galibier in France.
