Monks Cross is one of the UK’s prime regional shopping destinations and attracts shoppers both locally and from afar. It is an exciting and dynamic retail centre with over 300,000 sq.ft of some of the UK’s favourite retail and leisure brands.

We were delighted to deliver a brand new Primark store at Monks Cross on behalf of our client, the Monks Cross Shopping Park Trust. We received the scheme with full planning permission but submitted a revised planning application in order to seek approval for additional plant, fire exits and windows, wider shopfronts and larger signage zones.

The new store is formed by the amalgamation of three vacant units and features a clever arrangement of bespoke ‘fins’ that hide the original cladding that was to be retained as part of the works. The fins are beautifully accentuated by a lighting system that changes colour via a timed sequence.
