We’ve recently obtained planning permission for seven new retail units, divided among three pods at Interchange Retail Park, Bedford. These distinctive pods will invigorate Interchange Retail Park, featuring an expanded public realm, green walls, play areas, and seating for customers. The public realm near Unit F will extend into the car park, accompanied by a new roadway to maintain smooth traffic flow. Two of the pods will be centrally located, connected by a pedestrian route. We’ve carefully considered pod heights to preserve views of the retail terrace and surrounding units. Each unit will have a single-height shopfront with double doors and unique signage features. Dark grey cladding, light grey cladding, and green walls will break up the main elevations, while green roofs tie in with the overall design. Vertically and horizontally laid timber battens will further enhance the visual appeal.
