Anchor Trust and ECVP Limited

A state-of-the-art £42m retirement village set in the heart of Hampshire on the banks of the river Itchen

Anchor Trust and ECV Partnerships entrusted us with the prestigious project of constructing a cutting-edge care village, valued at £42 million, located in Eastleigh, near Southampton. This ambitious development was designed to be more than just a residence; it’s a community that offers a blend of modern living and therapeutic environments.

The architectural design of the care village is a testament to our commitment to harmony with nature. Buildings have been carefully placed to enhance the visual experience, offering expansive views that capture the essence of the surrounding landscape. This thoughtful layout ensures that every resident can enjoy the serene beauty of the site, whether they are looking out from their windows or strolling through the grounds.

Understanding the local significance of the site, we have approached its development with the utmost sensitivity. The presence of the Mount, a 19th century landmark, adds a layer of historical importance to the area. Recognising its value, we have undertaken a careful restoration to preserve its architectural integrity. The Mount now stands proudly, having been revived to its former glory and serves as an iconic centerpiece for the care village.

Our vision for this project goes far beyond the buildings; we aimed to create a space that resonates with the residents and the local community alike. By integrating the old with the new, we are setting a precedent for how modern developments can complement and enhance historical sites, making the care village a beacon of architectural innovation and cultural respect.
