As part of a £500m expansion drive Asda opened 25 stores, refurbished 43 existing outlets and invested in three new depots. We delivered a part of this expansion, a 27,000 sq.ft foodstore adjacent to Mitcham town centre.

The project involved refurbishing an existing Smyths Toys unit, recycling the existing building frame and floorslab, and constructing a new thermally-efficient envelope to improve the building’s environmental performance. As a result of this work, the store was able to achieve a post construction BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
